A night worth giving
The admission ticket may live on a phone. The surprise can still be something they unwrap.
Time: about 10 minutes. You need: a printer, paper or thin card, scissors and an envelope.
Time: 5 minutes after printing. You need: a spare paper record sleeve and your announcement.
Place the announcement in a clean empty sleeve, then wrap it as you would an album. Use a sleeve you own rather than removing a collectible record’s original packaging.
Time: 10 minutes. You need: a small box, tissue paper, a printed note and an optional pair of concert earplugs.
Write the show date on the first layer of paper. Put the artist announcement underneath. An earplug case makes a useful addition without requiring the recipient to guess a puzzle.
The printed announcement is not valid for entry. Do not copy a barcode or assume a screenshot will work. Check the actual ticket provider’s delivery and transfer rules for the event.
For Ticketmaster purchases, check the event’s transfer availability and use the official transfer process if you want the tickets in the recipient’s account. Some events restrict transfer or release tickets closer to the date.
